Moncton, New Brunswick. Moncton Events Center

Consistently rated one the best places to live in Canada, Moncton is New Brunswick’s largest city, and the fastest growing urban centre in the Maritime Provinces. With a metropolitan area population of more than 138,000 and another 1.3 million people living within a 2.5-hour drive, Moncton is home to both the largest indoor and outdoor entertainment facilities in Atlantic Canada. The city offers something for everyone, including hundreds of acres of parkland, warm beaches, restaurants, a farmer’s market, shops, museums and galleries, and unique attractions like Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to roll uphill!

Canada’s first officially bilingual city, Moncton is located at the geographic centre of Atlantic Canada and is central to two contrasting coasts; the rugged beauty of the Fundy Coast (home to the highest tides in the world), and the picturesque Acadian Coast (with the warmest saltwater beaches north of Virginia).

Moncton is also the Maritimes’ centre of attractions, so it’s the obvious choice for a docking point for the duration of a visit. Offering a multitude of high quality accommodations ranging from luxury hotels to smaller motels, the city also boasts a variety of restaurants from seafood to tasty Acadian dishes and everything in between.

One of Canada’s top magazines, Chatelaine, recently named Moncton as one of the best places to live and work in Canada. In addition, Readers Digest magazine named Moncton as the most polite city in all of Canada.

The city has earned the title of regional sporting hub, having been one of six Canadian cities to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup, Canada 2015™ and one of four Canadian host cities that welcomed the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Canada 2014.  The city and its mayor are very excited to be hosting one of the LARGEST HIGHLAND DANCING EVENTS in the world in Moncton, on July 3-7th, 2019 in the newest state of the art Entertainment Facilities in Atlantic Canada.  The brand new Downtown Event’s Center ,which will only official open its doors in September is ready to host the SDCCS 2019 and promises to offer comfortable seating, and lots of room to move throughout its large spacious facility.
